DecorYaar helps homeowners estimate interior costs and, if they ask, connects them with up to 3 interior professionals. This page explains what personal data we collect, why, and the choices you have. It is written to follow India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act).
Who we are

What we collect
When you request quotes, you give us:
- your name and mobile number
- your city, home type, budget range and when you want to start
- anything you choose to write in the notes box
- your consent to share these details with professionals
When you use the website, we collect usage information to understand which pages and tools are useful: pages visited, buttons and estimators used, the site that referred you, your device and browser type, and your approximate location (city or country) derived from your IP address. This uses a small first-party cookie and browser storage so repeat visits are counted correctly. We do not record your screen or keystrokes.
We do not ask for, and you should not send us, sensitive information such as financial account details or identity documents.
Why we use it
- To get you quotes. With your consent, we share your quote request (name, mobile number, city, home type, budget, timing and notes) with up to 3 interior firms or contractors who work in your area. They contact you directly.
- To follow up. We may contact you on the number you gave about your request, for example to ask how it went.
- To improve DecorYaar. We use usage information in aggregate to see which guides and estimators help people, and to fix problems.
- To keep the service safe. We limit repeated requests and filter spam.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share your number with anyone beyond the professionals matched to your request and the service providers listed below.

Some of these providers store data outside India. They process it only to provide their service to us.
How long we keep it
We keep quote requests for 12 months from the date you submit them, so we can follow up and handle questions about the professionals we matched you with. After that we delete them, unless you ask us to delete them sooner. Usage information is kept in aggregate for up to 2 years.
Your rights and choices
Under the DPDP Act you can:
- ask what personal data we hold about you and who we shared it with
- ask us to correct or update it
- ask us to delete it
- withdraw your consent at any time (this stops future sharing; professionals who already received your request may still contact you once, and you can ask them to stop)
- raise a grievance with us, and if you are not satisfied with our response, with the Data Protection Board of India

You can also block or clear cookies in your browser settings; the estimators and guides keep working without them.

DecorYaar is meant for adults planning their homes. If you are under 18, please don't submit a quote request.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we use your data, we will update this page and the date below. Significant changes will be shown on the site.
